NETFLIX AT THE IVORYTON LIBRARY
We are now offering you an alternative to finding the movies you want! If you have a movie title that is not available through the LION libraries or the Inter-Library Loan program, we can use our NETFLIX™ account to get it for you!
The guidelines are as follows:
1.) Movies are available for 3-day checkout.
Please address requests firstname.lastname@example.org or 860-767-1252
If you or a loved one would like a book, audiobook, movie, or other material but cannot get to the library, we would be happy to pick up and deliver materials to you! Call the library or email us at email@example.com with your request. We can certainly make a recommendation for you, too! Don't miss out on any good reads or movies just because you can't make it here in person. We are happy to provide this service to our residents.
REQUESTING MATERIALS NOT AVAILABLE IN LION (INTER-LIBRARY LOAN)
If you have a certain title in mind and the LION libraries do not have it available, you can request materials through our Inter-Library Loan program. You may ask for books, movies, audiobooks, periodicals, large print materials, --just about anything! Please address all of these requests by calling the library at 860-767-1252 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Having as much detailed information as possible (exact title, author, publisher if known, ISBN if known) helps us find what you are looking for quickly and easily.
You may want to search iconn.org. This is an invaluable tool for seeing what material is out there and where it is located. Watch out, it's addictive!!
InfoAnyTime is a real-time, web-based reference service that provides live librarians to assist students, faculty and the public in finding information to support their research. This provided to you by the Conecticut State Libray.
Click on the InfoAnytime link on the home page or below, enter your name and email address (optional), and wait a few moments for a librarian to come online.
Professional, highly-trained librarians conduct reference interviews via online chat, and provide answers and further resources in the form of web sites and online database citations. These online resources appear directly on the user's screen, next to the chat session window. The user may interact both with the web sites provided and with the librarian until his/her question has been answered satisfactorily.
At the end of each session, both you and the reference librarians at the college receive transcripts of the session via email.
